Dr. Vipul Jairath | MBChB, DPhil, FRCP, FRCPC
LDDI Director
Dr. Vipul Jairath is a Gastroenterologist and Director of the London Digestive Disease Institute (LDDI). He is an internationally recognized authority in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), with a distinguished record in clinical trials that has helped shape modern treatment standards.
Dr. Jairath established LDDI as a dedicated center of excellence for the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease and other digestive conditions. Under his leadership, the Institute provides specialist consultation, advanced endoscopy, and active participation in clinical research, all integrated within a holistic model of care designed to deliver expert, evidence-based treatment at every stage


Heather Prins | RN
Operations Director
Heather Prins is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing Science from Western University and over 20 years of clinical experience. For the past 11 years, she has specialized in managing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) clinical trials. Her extensive background in gastroenterology, perioperative care, and emergency medicine provides a strong foundation for her role as Operations Director at London Digestive Disease Institute (LDDI).
In addition to her leadership duties, Heather will maintain a hands-on clinical role by performing Intestinal Ultrasounds (IUS) for patients under the care of the LDDI gastroenterology team as she is fully certified in IUS by the International Bowel Ultrasound (IBUS) Group.

Dr. Nilesh Chande | MD
Quality & Safety Director, Gastroenterologist
Dr. Nilesh Chande is a former Professor of Medicine and Director of the Gastroenterology Training Program with the Division of Gastroenterology at Western University. In 2022, he founded Southwestern Ontario Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic, and has now partnered with LDDI in order to provide optimal care to patients with Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis from across the region. He also has interests in endoscopic procedures, general gastroenterology, medical education and engagement in clinical trials.


Beth Beauchamp | RN
Clinical Research Coordinator
Beth Beauchamp is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours from Western University and over 20 years of clinical and research experience. Prior to joining LDDI, she specialized for 12 years as a Clinical Research Coordinator in Neurology and Stroke at London Health Sciences Centre, where she managed multiple clinical trials. Her background in emergency medicine, infection control, and advanced neurological assessments provides a strong foundation for her dual role as both researcher and educator. In addition to her research responsibilities, Beth is a Professor at Fanshawe College’s School of Nursing, where she teaches and mentors future nurses. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes and fostering meaningful connections in both clinical and academic settings and is excited to have joined the LDDI team.

Taylor Toth is a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator with a strong focus on regulatory organization and management. With extensive experience in overseeing the regulatory aspects of clinical trials, Taylor excels at navigating complex regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining meticulous records to support the smooth execution of research projects. Taylor’s expertise includes working closely with physicians, clinical staff, and regulatory bodies to streamline processes and safeguard patient safety and confidentiality. Taylor is committed to advancing gastrointestinal research while upholding the highest ethical and regulatory standards.

Hailey Lacelle is the LDDI Executive Assistance with over 8 years of experience in healthcare administration. Passionate about patient-centered care, she plays a key role in ensuring that daily operations run smoothly, allowing clinical teams to focus on delivering high-quality care.
